Which meter for which path
AC socket meters suit mains appliances; DC meters suit battery circuits; USB meters suit phone, tablet and laptop charging. Insert each meter only in the circuit it was designed for, and confirm its current rating and measurement category.
Socket version matters
A wall-socket meter must match the Indian Type D outlet and be rated for the 230V circuit. Type C-only and foreign-outlet meters must not be adapted with unsafe plugs. Confirm the exact model sold and certified for India.
