Last known status: partly restored · City Power reports 89% restoration in Ennerdale Extension 9 and Lawley 1; remaining repairs await material delivery, with no completion deadline.

In 20 seconds

  1. City Power reports 89% restoration in the two communities; faults have been located.

  2. The percentage has no published denominator and cannot be converted into a customer or resident count.

  3. Remaining repairs depend on material delivery; no delivery or full-restoration deadline is given.

Latest update: repairs await material delivery

At 23:50:20 SAST on 2 November, equivalent to 21:50:20 UTC, City Power reported that power remained 89% restored to customers in Ennerdale Extension 9 and Lawley 1. It said faults had been located and repairs would commence once material was delivered on site. The notice does not say when that delivery will arrive or when repairs will be completed.

The latest operator notice explicitly links the work to the multiple-cable-fault outage reported on 30 October. This does not establish continuous interruption at every address since that date. The percentage remains an attributed utility measure: its denominator and customer total are unavailable, so it cannot be converted into a number of residents still without electricity.

Earlier repair plans and restoration figures

On 30 October, City Power reported supply restored up to 78% to customers in the two areas, with remaining customers awaiting cable-fault repairs. It said the outage had been reported that day. The earlier figure is a dated operator report, rather than the current recovery measure. The available figures do not supply a common denominator for calculating the number of additional customers restored.

On 1 November, City Power scheduled Lawley 1 testing and repair for 2 November. A separate notice said the Ennerdale Extension 9 D5–D4 fault had been tested and located, with repairs on two remaining load centres scheduled to begin on 2 November. Those were work plans, rather than proof of completion. An afternoon notice on 2 November reported 89% supply restoration. The latest material-delivery update does not identify whether each previously planned repair is finished. Exact onset and address-level restoration remain unknown.
