Keeping essential equipment available

When restoration timing is uncertain, check what you have available for lighting and communication. The outage essentials guide covers equipment to keep within reach. For devices you plan to run on a battery, use the runtime calculator to compare their power needs with your available capacity. Keeping the right charging cables together can help you make use of the battery power you have. If several devices share one battery, start with the ones you expect to use most.
